Mechanic Khak Laboratory

Instruments:  LVDT and data acquisition system for automatic tri-axial compression test. 

The Mechanik Khak (Soil Mechanic) laboratory which belongs to the Ministry of Transportation is one of the most reputable laboratories of such in Iran.  The facilities for triaxial testing of rock strength was operated manually.  The Payab Zamzam company supplied the whole sensors and data acquisition system through a mechanical engineering group there.  The sensors included LVDT's to measure the displacement with 0.01 mm accuracy.  The data acquisition was capable of sampling all the information coming from the sensors with high accuracy and high speed.    Using this automatic system, the measurement of the strength, the failure mechanism, the volumetric change of the sample as well as the ultimate strength of it can be measured now with high accuracy and minimal interference of the operators.
